Abstract
This paper presents a new and fast method to improve the stationary transfer alignment of strapdown inertial navigation systems (SINS). Many aircraft can perform the initial alignment process of their inertial navigation system before launch statically, using the carrier's attitude and heading information, and compensate for errors caused by bias in their inertial sensors, a process called transfer alignment. The transfer alignment process in the static state can be considered by ignoring the lever arm errors between the platform and the aircraft inertial navigation system.By this approach, the stationary fine alignment and transfer alignment of SINS error state vector is divided into two parts: sensors biases and errors of attitude and velocities. To obtain the first part, an analytical method is proposed and a filter is used to the second part. The efficiency and advantage of this method is compared with traditional methods and its applicability examined with some simulations.
