Abstract

Power subsystem of nano-satellites is a major part that effectively has relationships with their entire electrical components. Occurring defects in this subsystem may lead to missing the whole nano-satellite mission. On the other hand, due to nano-satellites restrictions in space condition and energy consumption, designing an optimized and appropriate power system will be more significant. In order to design convertors for power distribution units (PDUs) a closed-loop algorithm is presented in this paper, employing a proper combination of extant analytic relations, analyzing and simulating in software interface and testing the experimental setup. Applying this algorithm reduces number of the required experimental samples in the process of manufacturing and testing. The proposed algorithm is carried out to design and build on engineering sample of PDU for nanosatellite and the results reveals the performance of this algorithm.
